Latin weddings have been the foundation of TWK since being established in 1998. Our founders are original New York Rican’s with parents native to Puerto Rico. Spanish speaking was the norm at home as was the Latin music vibes of Salsa, Merengue and Bachata. Nothing like those classic Fania All Stars! Let’s just say Latino Music flows in the blood.

DJ Prophet was actually a 90’s/80’s Hip Hop junkie and thought Salsa and Merengue was “old people” music. That quickly changed after a visit to Latin Quarters in Uptown NYC. The milkshake of Latin in one room and English (Freestyle, Hip-hop, House music) in the other hooked the up and coming DJ and it was a wrap after that.

After years of the club circuit, DJ Prophet and family opened the doors at TWK Events in 1998

and started their journey in the wedding industry. The main idea was to Specialize in the Spanish event sector in all of New Jersey. Specifically weddings and sweet sixteens / Quinceañeras.
